Home Made Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread

After a short break, I have been baking bread again and this time I am sharing with you a recipe for baking delicious Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread at home. Yes, right there in your own oven!! No running to the bakery wondering if they still have a loaf left or making do with store bought bread. No worrying about preservatives, additives, excess sugar or indeed salt:)

MultiGrain Onion Capsicum Bread | Pyaz Shimla ki Dabal Roti

Earlier this summer I made my Zesty Onion Chile Bread and it was a big hit. Visiting India, I made a similar bread at my Mum's place (big thanks to her for the beautiful props, her super camera, and tonnes of natural light!!). I used a different mix of flours for the bread and thought I should share the recipe for this delicious loaf with my readers.

Daring Cooks September 2011: Herbed Consomme with Spicy Tomato Brioche

The September 2011 Challenge to the Daring Cooks was to create a delicious consomme and serve it up with some brioche!! Loved it. I make soup really often at home and there is always a batch of vegetable based vegetarian soup stock in my refrigerator!!

Paneer Bread Pakoras | Crispy Battered Bread & Cottage Cheese Fritters

Bread Pakoras are a ridiculously indulgent treat. Fresh bread, dipped in a batter of spicy chickpea flour is deep fried and served hot with a choice of spicy sauce. Its an all time favourite, sold at busy city spots by street vendors, often in day old newspapers!!!! As a kid I remember many a birthday party where bread pakoras made an appearance. And more recently, I was pleasantly surprised to see them at an Indian restaurant here.
