I would like to begin with guest posting the recipe sent to me by Jeeja Jaison who sent in the delectable recipe of Fruit Chaat. You can find her at her FB page: Manna N Quail. Here is what Jeeja writes:
Fruit chaat is delicious and simple to prepare street food in North India. This chaat is a blend of spices and assorted fruits based on seasonal availability.
Fruit chaat is a great way to eat fruits anytime. This dish
is packed with nutrients and is also low in calories.
Ingredients:
1 orange peeled and sectioned
1 apple peeled and cubed
1 banana sliced
1 cup cucumber peeled and cubed
1/2 cup pineapple cubed
4-5 strawberries sliced
Ingredients:

4-5 grape tomatoes
Few mint leaves for garnish

Dressing:
2 tsp chaat masala
1/4 tsp red chili powder
1.5 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds powder
1/4 tsp black salt
Method:
In a large bowl, combine all the sliced fruits, cucumber and tomato together. Add lemon juice and toss well. Add chaat masala, chilli powder, black salt and mix well so as to get a balance of sweet, spicy and tangy flavours. Serve cold with a garnish of mint leaves and roasted cumin powder.
Note:-
You can use any fruit that you like and adjust the spiciness as per your taste.
