Fresh Fruit Yogurt: Delicious Strawberry & Blueberry Tiers

I love fruited yogurts, but always feel rather uncomfortable buying them in the supermarket. All kinds of added preservatives, too much sugar, artificial flavouring are the ultimate turnoff. There are some great organic brands available, but I feel that are truly overpriced for the quantity offered. All in all I prefer to make my own from scratch, but occasionally I do like to use plain Greek yogurt to make fruit yogurts or deliciously fruity parfaits!!
Overloaded with some wonderful berries last week, I made some strawberry and blueberry yogurt tiers. Perfect for a mid-morning snack or a light dessert, these delicately sweetened yogurts are also good for you.

Ingredients:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 cup blueberries
3/4 cup strawberries, chopped
1 tbsp honey
8-10 mint leaves

Method:
  1. Blend together the blueberries, half a cup yogurt, half the tablespoon honey.
  2. Divide equally and pour into serving bowls.
  3. Now blend together the strawberries, honey, mint, and Greek yogurt.
  4. Layer onto the blueberry yogurt.
  5. Chill and serve.
This yogurt will stay in the refrigerator for up to three days.

  6. I also like fruity yoghurts too. But like you I too think they are full of added sugar and other preservatives which are not healthy at all. Greek yoghurt is the best to make your own fruity yoghurt. I also love pears and bananas so I use them every time I get the chance. Thanks for the recipe.
